Animal Crossing: New Horizons!

Review of Animal Crossing New Horizons Apps available on Google Play.

I started playing ACNH in April and now I am addicted in all the different ways. I am in a bunch of Facebook Groups, Discord Channels, and of course I downloaded Apps. Tons of apps have been developed since the game has come out and I really applaud those developers!! In this review I will be reviewing what I consider the 32 most relevant apps for the game. I have divided them into five different categories.

The Categories are:

1.    Designs- Sharing and creating designs

2.    Turnip Sales and Calculators

3.    Guides- Straight out great info and tips

4.    Daily/Checklist Apps- Help with daily tasks or just help you keep track of all your items outside game

5.    Connections- Meet to trade, sell, visit, etc in game

**Note if a App has the same name as another app then I have listed what the app icons look like.

 

Designs

The following apps serve the primary purpose to either create or share designs to help make your game look more amazing.

1.Nooks Pattern Designer

This app offers the ability to draw your own designs, convert photos straight from your phone into designs, save them to your own personal library and share them into a larger online library. You can get tons of custom made designs from the online library. Simple app the serves a basic creative purpose.

2.Animal Xing Designer

This app offers very basic drawing tools and you have to create your own outside QR code or designer tag to save your work. To me it seems like a lot more hassle.

3.ACNH ACNL Guides Custom Design Codes

This is actually a wallpaper app that a developer has converted into a source for players to find QR codes for custom outfits and designs. You save your preferred design to your phone to scan later.

4.Nookpedia

This app is a data base for players to store and share their custom designs. Easy to use. This also offers a Market place for items. Then it also offers a Insect and Fish checklist guide you can use as well.

Turnip Sales and Calculators

5.AC Turnip Broker

To be honest I could not figure out how to record several weeks of information so that it would give me a prediction for best day to sell the turnips. If anyone else has input on this they are welcome to add in.

6.AC:TC

This helps you determine if you have possibly met your best sale day for your turnips and tells you the amount of profit. Has nice written instructions.

7.Turnips

This one is pretty good for recording and tracking your prices. But I sat forever waiting for it to actually give me a prediction for the best sale day, which in the end it did not.

Guides

This section of apps are for the most part 100% guides on how to play the game, with helpful tips and tricks.

8.ACNH Companion

This app will give you any basic information you need to locate bugs and fish, and then basic info for all the possible villagers. It also has a search option. The main page also keeps you up to date on villagers current birthdays.

9.ACNH Animal Crossing New Fish Guide 2020

A little ad heavy, but opens with a list of various articles on the who, what, when and where for fish! Very detailed and a easy read and reference. So if you are a big fisher this has any info you may need.

10.Animal CRO

This is a super simple app for beginners. It has a list of basic topics a player can review.

11.Tips for Animal-crossing : New horizon new tricks

This app is also great for beginners as it has a great variety of topics that you can browse through to get your game started. The information is very detailed. It walks your through almost any topic you may need help with and has great pictures to go along with it.

12.Guide for Animal Crossing New Horizons

This offers a small variety of tips for the game, but the menu is kinda all over the place. Worth a read at least.

13.ACNH Helper

This app offers a small list of various short articles on how to play and improve your gaming.

Daily/Checklist Apps

These are apps you would use on a daily basis for reference or to keep track of collections and progress.

14.Animal Guide

This app offers you a daily checklist of things to do every single day, a list of current insects and fish, what you have turned in to the museum, lists of diy’s, furniture, apparel, works of art, song list, and fossils! It offers a basic list of villagers and you can mark if you want them or have them. Very last under tips it has a flower breeding guide. This is a pretty thorough app.

15.Animal Companion

This is a cute basic checklist app for fish and bugs! Easy to use and navigate with cute pictures.

16.Planner for AC:NH

This app has a neat feature where you can track other peoples islands as well. So keep record of your friends islands and help celebrate their birthdays! It also has information on other non playable characters in the game. It does offer a basic checklist for bugs and fish. It offers you a place to take notes as well.

17.ACNH Guide

***This App has a yellow Icon with a black fish and white butterfly***

This app offers a checklist for fish, bugs and bones. Super simple and easy, also lists what fish and bugs leave that month.

18.ACNH Life

This app you customize to your island. You list your villagers and then track bugs, fish, bones, and art. The cool part about this app is you can track what you own and your DIY’s as well! It also offers a small list of guides to help a player understand various things on the island. One neat feature is it has a villager compatibility chart.

19.ACNH Guide

***This App has a yellow Icon with a black fish, white butterfly, AND a fossil.***

This app has a checklist for fish, bugs, bones, and music. Then it offers a flower breeding guide. You can also track which villagers you want and have.

20.Completionist Animal Crossing: New Horizon

This app offerings a checklist of fish, bugs, bones and art. One neat thing is under more guides it offers short guides on balloons, tool durability, and flowers. Simple yet complete checklist.

21.ACNH Guide

***This App has a light green Icon with a brown book***

This app is pretty detailed. It has a checklist for: talking to residents, daily fossils, money tree, recipe bottle, hitting rocks. It also helps you track weekly visitors, villager birthdays, DIY collections, fish, bone, and bug collections. Has a flower breeding guide and turnip calculator. It is a detailed app.

22.Animal Crossing Companion Guide

This is a easy to use checklist app. The icons are large and simple and easy to understand. It tracks bones, bugs, art, fish and villagers.

23.Crosspedia

This app lets you input your turnip prices to predict future prices. It also has a checklist for bugs, fish, bones, and art. The great thing about this app is it has checklists for everything in game! It even lists what you can spend your nook miles on.

24.Horizonpedia

A simple checklist app. It tracks fish, bugs, bones, art, flowers and villagers. It also has a discord channel you can follow.

25.New Horizons Travel Companion

This app is a customizable checklist app. You can add and remove custom tasks you want to accomplish every day in your game and it tracks how many days you have accomplished them. It also lists current active wildlife and you can mark off what you own. You can also track your all your museum items and songs. Then it has a short flower breeding guide.

26.New Horizons Companion

This app offers a checklist for bugs and fish once you have donated them. Then it will tell you on the mail page what bugs and fish are leaving soon. It has a direct link to the Turnip Exchange website and the AC Fandom Wiki.

27.AC: NH

This app is a simple checklist for bones, bugs and art. It also comes with a flower breeding guide. The final page has a nice overview of what you have caught, donated and gave to make models.

28.My ACNH

This is a app you personalize by listing all your island info, your villagers, then it lists the events of the month, your collections progress, and turnip helper. Currently the collection part of the app is not functional, but I assume in the future it will be.

29.Island Time

This app lists the monthly events going on and then has one long list for fish and bugs on the main page. Then the second tab lists fish, bugs, villagers and artwork.

30.ACNH Companion

This app is a nice one you can personalize with your friend code, designer ID and Island info. Then if tracks daily tasks, who you should speak to, send gifts, and mail to. It offers checklist for fish, bugs, bones, art, and songs. I love it has a complete guide to the mystery islands! It comes with a turnip calculator and a list of a the Nook Milestone missions. This app also comes with its own discord channel. I personally like this app myself, if it had a list of all the items in the game it would complete!

Connections

There are only two apps under this category. But they are pretty good ones.

31.ACNH Tools

This app has four main functions. The first leaf tab is Nookazon. You basically can completely use the website from this app. The second leaf tab is Turnip Exchange and you can basically use that website completely from there. The third tab is the ACNH: Turnip Calculator, which I have not tested. The fourth tab is a invite to their discord channel. I accepted the invite but it didn’t change the status in app, so I still have to go to discord to view the channel.

32.ACNH Exchange

Now I won’t lie, I love this app. I use it DAILY. This app is primarily a events app with a little bit of sales. You can host events for free or for fees, like having Celeste or Kicks on your island. You can also host for Turnip sales. It helps you track who is coming and going from your island. You rate people and they rate you, so can deny someone from coming to your island if they have a bad rating. It also has a nice side thing to track your fish, bugs, bones, art, DIY’s and songs.

 

30 Things I want my kids to know about me Part 3

Here is the third installment of my 30 things list.
Number 5:
What are the 5 things that make you most happy right now?
1. Justin. He makes me smile everyday and is the light of my life.
2. My pets. I love my dogs Coco, Cami, and Furby. Even though Quinn isn't living with me currently, it makes me really happy to see him.
3. My crafts. Being creative and making something always makes me happy.
4. Being Pregnant. It may not be the actual pregnancy itself, because I am sick as hell, but I am finally going to have my own baby and be a mom. I feel like a real woman.
5. Sleeping, honestly. Being pregnant has given me such super real and weird dreams that sleeping is actually more enjoyable then usual.

Number 6:
If you could have three wishes, what would you wish for?
1. Wealth. Pay off my debt, buy a nice house, buy a nice car(my dream mommy van), and have money to send my kid to college and go to Disney World.
2. Perfect health for me and my family.
3. World Peace? I really don't know because the first two make my life perfect.

Number 7:
What is your dream job, and why?
This is an easy answer. I want to own and run my own thrift store. I worked for a year at a GoodWill store and LOVED what I did. But being there made me realize there are so many things they could do to help out the environment or the community. They could have donated broken ceramic dishes to the local high school to make mosaics with or we had a teacher come in asking for wire hangers, paying out of his pocket, so his students could do a project. Our store didn't sell them, they threw them out, BUT we weren't allowed to give anything away, not even trash. I want to run the kind of store that builds community value, helping where it can. A place that recycles more, and throws away less, and makes the world a better place. That's my dream job.

Number 8:
What are 5 passions you have?
1. Art. That is my biggest one. I love to paint, draw, scrapbook, and just plain create.
2. Being Eco Friendly/Frugal. I like to save money and do good for the environment. I know I could do more, but I try to save on my trash output, reuse when ever I can, and recycle.
3.Reading and Writing. I love a good book, and I love to write when ever I can.
Since I condensed my passions I only have three.

Number 9:
List 10 people who have influenced you and describe how.
1. My Mom. She was a super strict parent, and although she made a lot of my life hell she taught me important things like proper cleaning, and the importance of being organized.
2. Helen Keller. Never met her obviously, but I learned about her in elementary school and her will to learn and survive was and is very inspiring to me.
3. Maya Gaskins-Hickman. This girl taught me that being weird is ok, and she taught me how to shop, and trust me, that is more important then you would think.
4. Justin Moran. He taught me what true happiness is, and that everything is worth working through.
5. My first high school love. I would rather not name. He taught me that there was love out there, before him I had never been happy with a guy and didn't know I could be.
6. Mr. Stone. He was my 6th grade teacher and he was the first teacher to really open my eyes to my love of education and learning. He made learning cool.
7. Mr. Hurt. He was my middle school art teacher. He changed my perspective on art and let me run loose with the art supplies. I thank him for opening those doors.
8. My Grandma 'Mamaw'. She showed me not all love is the same. She taught me how to knit and do plastic canvas work, and never discouraged my creative side.
9. My Dogs. Oddly yes. You come home every day to them and they are happy to see you and love you. I try to remember that, because no matter what everyone deserves to be loved, your dog thinks so.
10.Jeremy Malone. Yes that dork. He has taught me it is okay to be goofy, to love weird things, and to have a passion for games. His influence has taught me to enjoy life more.
 

Xbox360

Oh, Yes, This is a gamer post!

My system of choice is the Xbox360. You can blame my friend Jeremy for that, since he got me interested in the system back in 2006. Since the original Xbox360 was released in 2005, I wasn't too far behind in the times. The original game that got me addicted was Guitar Hero. Since then I have played several games such as Fallout, Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 3, Fable 2 and 3, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Halo Reach, MineCraft, Lego Indiana Jones, Borderlands, and Dragon Age.

Though out the years Xbox360 has offered a large variety of looks and styles that make it so the user can have their own individual system. The system offers a monthly membership you can buy to be connected online with other users, sharing game scores and playing multi player games together.

So basically I have chosen a popular gaming system that is constantly coming out with new games and connecting players all over the world.

 

Gaming Addictions

I am super addicted to certain games. My favorite computer game is Sims3.

First off with the Sims. I have been playing sims since nearly the beginning of their creation. The first one I ever played was for the PS2, and totally started my addiction. I purchased the entire collection of Sims2 for the PC. I absolutely loved the entire set. Something about being able to start a relationship, have a dream wedding, and run your own business is just fun and amazing. Plus all the tools the game provides you with you can design your own home any way you want.
Then EA came out with the Sim3, which I of course preordered! It enabled you to fully interact with your entire town and not be trapped at a certain location. It also installed a continuous time line, this way as your life changed, the world around you actually changed too. So for the first time, your neighbor could have a baby, or die in a fire. Did I mention that Sims is a great way to relieve stress? Make a Sim that looks like some one you hate, then lock them in a room you set on fire! Sadistic?

 Maybe, but if you own Sims long enough, you find yourself doing all kinds of weird things. Like I once had a black widow Sim, she would marry a man, which added his money to the house, then have a kid with him and then kill him. Which turned out really interesting at night, because I had her keep the graves at home, and the ghosts of all her ex's haunted her!  Also other gamers have come up with challenges for other players. These challenges have certain sets of rules that the player must follow, and get a certain amount of points for each goal they accomplish. Some gamers have even set up sites where you can compare your score and story with others! While some Simmers blog their story line, telling about their sims unique lives through daily or weekly blog posts with pictures, almost like children's story books. So when it comes to Sims there is such a variety of things you can do once you start playing.

World of Warcraft

Wow, it has been over a month since I have posted on here. I guess I really haven't been in the blogging spirit much lately, but there is nothing like a good snow storm to get you stuck indoors and make you want to write! Especially when Blizzard chose now to download their new patch, and made my game sooo laggy that I can't play.
Which makes me wanna throw my laptop across the room. :)
ANYWAYS! I have come to the realization that I am a little more then addicted the game and I am trying during this down time to find other enjoyable activities to do. Like I have a new book from my House of Night series to read. I am the 5th book call Hunted. Which I have read most of it today and it has been really awesome so far. They only have one more book out right now. If I had gotten over to my mom's before the snow hit I could have been working on my Christmas cards. I don't have many to send, and she has some nice variety ones I can have. My mom always has everything in bulk.
I am kinda happy for all the snow, I am liking being closed in. Now it is a good thing, but in a few weeks it will be cabin fever like crazy!
This year has gone by really fast. It is hard to believe it is Christmas time again already. I am usually way more prepared for things like this, with gifts and such, but this year I am totally behind. I have fallen under the category of the last minute shopper!
I guess the main reason I wanted to write was because I was stressed about not being able to get onto World of Warcraft. I have made it to be an officer in my guild and I am holding our first contest, which is today! I can't even get online to play or help. So I kinda feel like a failure on that end. I know it isn't really my fault, but now I am kinda stressed on the inside. Well, I am gonna go spend some quality cuddle time with Justin. Wish me luck on getting my game to work right!

The Ugly Truth

A friend of mine posted this on their facebook page, and I found so many of these things true to me and truly funny! Read and see how many you relate to!

--More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can't wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that's not only better, but also more directly involves me.

--Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

--That's enough, Nickelback.

--I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

--Do you remember when you were a kid, playing Nintendo and it wouldn't work? You take the cartridge out, blow in it and that would magically fix the problem. Every kid in America did that, but how did we all know how to fix the problem? There was no Internet or message boards or FAQ's. We just figured it out. Today's kids are soft.

--There is a great need for sarcasm font.

--Sometimes, I'll watch a movie that I watched when I was younger and suddenly realize I had no idea what the hell was going on when I first saw it.

--I think everyone has a movie that they love so much, it actually becomes stressful to watch it with other people. I'll end up wasting 90 minutes shiftily glancing around to confirm that every one's laughing at the right parts, then making sure I laugh just a little bit harder (and a millisecond earlier) to prove that I'm still the only one who really, really gets it.

--How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

--I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.

--I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

--The only time I look forward to a red light is when I'm trying to finish a text.

--Was learning cursive really necessary?

--I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

--Whenever someone says "I'm not book smart, but I'm street smart", all I hear is "I'm not real smart, but I'm imaginary smart".

--MapQuest really needs to start their directions on #5. Pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

--I find it hard to believe there are actually people who get in the shower first and THEN turn on the water.

--Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.

--I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

--Bad decisions make good stories.

--Why is it that during an ice-breaker, when the whole room has to go around and say their name and where they are from, I get so incredibly nervous? Like I know my name, I know where I'm from, this shouldn't be a problem....

--You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you've made up your mind that you just aren't doing anything productive for the rest of the day.

--Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after DVDs? I don't want to have to restart my collection.

--I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.

--I hate being the one with the remote in a room full of people watching TV. There's so much pressure. 'I love this show, but will they judge me if I keep it on? I bet everyone is wishing we weren't watching this. It's only a matter of time before they all get up and leave the room. Will we still be friends after this?'

--While watching the Olympics, I find myself cheering equally for China and USA. No, I am not of Chinese descent, but I am fairly certain that when Chinese athletes don't win, they are executed.

--I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Damnit!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

--I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.

--It should probably be called Unplanned Parenthood.

--I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

--Even if I knew your social security number, I wouldn't know what do to with it.

--Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, hitting the G-spot, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet my ass everyone can find and push the Snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time every time...

--It really pisses me off when I want to read a story on CNN.com and the link takes me to a video instead of text.

--I wonder if cops ever get pissed off at the fact that everyone they drive behind obeys the speed limit.

--I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

--I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lites than Kay.

--The other night I ordered takeout, and when I looked in the bag, saw they had included four sets of plastic silverware. In other words, someone at the restaurant packed my order, took a second to think about it, and then estimated that there must be at least four people. Too bad I was eating by myself.

Sims 3 Legacy

New Things

Well, not much new has really been happening. Just working on the same things. But I have been talking with my mom about some volunteer work she is doing and I am very interested in. We are doing a Kids with Cancer camp day on June 14th. Basically that day is for the kids and their parents to come and see the camp and we will have a big carnival with games and stuff. They need a lot of volunteers. So if any one wants to volunteer, my mom is driving everyone down there. I am really excited about helping. We will be running the games and stuff. Then my mom is going to be collecting pop tops. She said she could find all kinds of other volunteer opportunities for me as well. So I am very excited. I want to be involved. This is a pretty meaningful thing. I am going to try to get others involved too. Then I am very anxious about this years farmers market, which will be every Tuesday. It starts on June 1st. This year you can sell anything handmade, instead of just food! So I am going to be making lots of things. Plus mom is going to be having tons of stuff as well. So I am very much looking forward to it all. I haven't decided what I am going to make yet, but I am going to try to make a variety of things to sell.

iPhone

I don't think I every really put up a post about my new phone. Jeremy got me a awesome early birthday present. He got me the Apple iPhone!! I love it. I have been using it for everything.It has tons of different applications, such as: Text, Calender, Photos, Camera, Contacts, YouTube, Maps(with GPS), Clock, Calculator, Notes, iTunes, Weather, Email, Internet, and iPod. Then I down loaded a few of my own which were Brain Tuner, a game that helps get your mind sharp, Tap Tap, Jeremys choice there, and very similar to guitar hero. Also I have an app to monitor my menstrual cycles, and the game Mahjong,as well as solitaire. I also got a app to monitor my cash flow. I am reading a book now I have down loaded through an app called Stanza. I also keep my work schedule in there, and any important appointments. So with a few taps I can access all my information. No need to find a phone book, I can hop online and look up a business and tap the number and my phone will call it. I can also access my voicemail without calling it. While I am on the phone talking I can also access and use all the applications. Which comes in handy. I haven't mastered the phone yet, but I find new ways to use it everyday. Which has been a blast. I never get behind and I have more free time now actually. Because I can check my email frequently, I spend less time on the computer. So yeah, my new favorite thing is my iPhone.
